We do detailing and we do rust protection, in the same bay at 161 Baseline Rd E. The shop has been doing rust protection here since 2009 and Ultimate Detail moved in during 2020. That means one set of hands on your car, and it means a Rust Check appointment and a Full Detail can happen on the same visit instead of two trips to two places.
If the outside is fine and the inside is the problem, that's an Interior Detail, or an Interior Deep Clean when there's pet hair, stains or a smell to deal with. If the paint is what's bothering you, Wash & Wax is the regular maintenance version and Clay Bar & Wax is the one that pulls embedded contamination off first. Full Detail and Showroom Detail combine the inside and the outside in one visit. If the paint has swirl marks or scratches you can see in sunlight, that's paint correction, not a wash.
Coat & Protect is the thick oil we spray across the exposed undercarriage: frame rails, crossmembers, suspension, floor pans. The full Ultimate Rust Check adds the creeping oil that goes inside the body cavities through small access holes, into rockers, doors and pinch welds where rust actually starts. Both products are oils. Neither is rubberized, because rubberized coatings harden, crack, and then hold moisture against the metal instead of keeping it out.
We're not a mobile detailer. The work happens at the shop, because a proper interior extraction and a rust application both need equipment that lives in the bay. What we do offer is valet pickup and drop-off roughly between Oshawa and Newcastle, so the car comes to us without you having to sit here. Outside that range, give us a call and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth the drive.
Rust protection slows corrosion down. It doesn't reverse rust that's already there, and we'll say so when we're under your truck. Paint correction removes defects in the clear coat, not scratches that have gone through it. If a headlight lens is cracked rather than just yellowed, restoration won't fix it. We'd rather tell you that before you book than after.
