Got the "basic detail", they spent so much time and attention on my vehicle, I was absolutely blown away when I saw it. These guys run an awesome shop.
Ultimate Detail & Rust Check is Clarington's own ceramic coating and paint correction shop, right on Baseline Rd E in Bowmanville. We serve all of Clarington (Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle, Orono, and Hampton) with professional paint protection from a shop that has operated in town since 2009.
Clarington encompasses everything from 401 highway commuters to rural concession road drivers, and our ceramic coating packages are built for all of it. The municipality's varied road conditions (highway salt, gravel back roads, and agricultural dust) demand paint protection that does more than wax. Ceramic coating's semi-permanent bond, UV resistance, and hydrophobic surface handle all of it. As the only dedicated professional detailing shop based right in Clarington, we have protected more local vehicles than anyone else in the municipality.
We are located at 161 Baseline Rd E in Bowmanville, the municipal centre of Clarington. Easy to reach from any part of the municipality.
Clarington vehicles deal with the full range of Ontario paint threats in a single municipality. Daily commuters from Bowmanville and Courtice run the 401 through brine and highway film every winter. Working trucks in Hampton, Solina, and Tyrone take gravel impact, agricultural chemicals, and outdoor UV exposure. New vehicles in Courtice and Newcastle get bought and parked outside before the new clear coat ever sees protection. Lakeshore vehicles in Bond Head and Port Newcastle deal with salt air year-round. Ceramic coating is the one paint protection method that handles every one of those threats. Three to five years of chemically bonded protection that resists salt, UV, and contaminants while making weekly washing dramatically easier.
Most coating failures are not product failures. They are prep failures, and they show up months later as patchy beading or high spots that cannot be polished off without removing the coating. The sequence exists for a reason. A two-bucket pH-neutral wash first, so nothing gets dragged across the paint. Then an iron remover for the embedded brake dust and industrial fallout that a wash will not lift, followed by clay to pull off whatever is still bonded to the surface. Correction where correction is needed. Then the step that gets skipped most often at a cheaper price: every panel wiped down with isopropyl alcohol to strip the polishing oils and residue off the surface. Those oils fill and hide fine defects, which flatters the result at handoff, and they also sit between the coating and the clear coat so the bond never properly forms. Coating over an unwiped panel looks perfect on the day and fails early. Then application panel by panel, levelled inside the working window, and a full cure.
Ceramic coating alone starts at $400 for cars and scales by vehicle size. Single stage paint correction is $300 to $425. Dual stage correction is $475 to $725. Most ceramic jobs combine correction and coating, with typical packages running $700 to $1,250 depending on vehicle size and correction level. We quote honestly after inspection. We are the only ceramic shop based right in Clarington, and we have done coatings on every kind of vehicle this municipality runs: family SUVs, daily commuters, working trucks, lakeshore sedans, and a steady stream of new vehicles owners bring straight from the dealer.
Clarington customers are minutes from 161 Baseline Rd E, which makes it easy to treat the interior as a separate decision from the paint rather than an upsell at the counter. Salt removal is priced per footwell area, so a vehicle with two bad front footwells is not charged as though the whole interior needs it. Seat shampoo is per seat and carpet shampoo is a single item with a surcharge for a third row, and we will tell you outright that neither is needed alongside an interior deep clean, because both are already included in it. Headliner shampoo is available with the honest caveat that results vary depending on what caused the staining. Ozone treatment is a 45-minute run plus an air-out for odour rather than a fragrance, which is a different job from cleaning the surfaces that caused the smell. Pet hair removal is quoted by severity.

Had my car detailed here. They were super friendly and accommodating, and very understanding of the absolute mess my car was in. My car came back cleaner than when I bought it- not kidding. Highly recommend.
The detailing done (interior and exterior) was absolutely flawless. I've never received such wonderful, friendly service. My car was previously smoked in, and it's impossible to tell. Windows, mats, leather seats, cloth interiors were all immaculate.
