A ceramic coating is protection, not repair. Single stage correction is one cutting compound followed by one polish, clears most swirl marks and light scratches, and is the right level for paint that has been looked after. Dual stage cuts with a heavier compound first and refines with a finer polish, which is what heavier oxidation and deeper scratches need. Some vehicles need neither. If your paint is genuinely clean, we will tell you that and skip straight to the coating rather than sell you a correction stage you do not need.
Ceramic coating alone starts at $400 for cars and scales by vehicle size. Single stage paint correction is $300 to $425. Dual stage correction is $475 to $725. Most ceramic jobs combine correction and coating, with typical packages running $700 to $1,250 depending on vehicle size and correction level. We quote honestly after inspection. If correction is overkill for your paint, we say so. If a more aggressive correction is needed, we explain why and what the difference will look like.
A ceramic coating only lasts as long as it is maintained. We walk every customer through proper aftercare before they pick up: pH-neutral car wash soap, washing every two to three weeks, avoiding automated car washes with abrasive brushes, drying properly to prevent water spot etching, and applying a ceramic-compatible topper once or twice per year to maintain hydrophobic performance. Skipping the maintenance is what causes coatings to underperform. Following it is what gets you to the five-year mark.
Not every paint problem needs a full coating, and the shop being in town means Bowmanville customers can get an answer in person before committing to one. A single panel polish is a two-step cut and polish on one panel only, which is the right call for a door or a hood that picked up a scuff in a parking lot while the rest of the paint is fine. The detailing done (interior and exterior) was absolutely flawless. I've never received such wonderful, friendly service. My car was previously smoked in, and it's impossible to tell. Windows, mats, leather seats, cloth interiors were all immaculate.
