Car Detailing

Ultimate Detail & Rust Check is the car detailing shop serving all of Durham Region from our Bowmanville location. Whether you are searching auto detailing in Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, Courtice, Newcastle, Port Perry, or Clarington, professional vehicle care is a short drive away.

Durham Region experiences some of Ontario's harshest winter conditions, with heavy road salt application across municipal and regional roads. This makes annual rust protection and regular detailing essential for preserving vehicle value. Since 2009, we have served over 2,200 customers across Durham Region with our professional detailing packages and licensed Rust Check applications. Our central location in Bowmanville provides easy highway access from anywhere in the region.

Getting Here from Durham Region

Our shop is at 161 Baseline Rd E in Bowmanville. Take the Liberty St exit off the 401, turn right onto Baseline Rd E. Also accessible via Highway 2 from any direction.

One Shop, the Whole Region

Durham Region runs from Pickering on the western edge to Brock Township in the north, with Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Clarington, and Scugog filling out the middle. Our shop has been on Baseline Rd E in Bowmanville since 2009, and over those years we have served customers from every one of those communities. Each one comes with a different vehicle profile. Pickering and Ajax bring lakeshore vehicles dealing with salt-air corrosion. Whitby and central Oshawa bring 401 commuters with daily highway exposure. Brooklin and the central Whitby family neighborhoods bring SUVs that haul kids and gear all week. Bowmanville and Courtice are home turf and give us hometown customers across every vehicle type. Newcastle pulls from Wilmot Creek retirees alongside lakeshore homes in Bond Head and Port Newcastle. Hampton, Solina, Tyrone, and the rural concession-road areas of north Clarington bring working trucks. Port Perry and Scugog bring the heaviest rural-vehicle mix in Durham. Our packages and pricing are built to handle every part of that range without forcing one-size-fits-all defaults.

Every Package, Every Durham Drive

A wash and wax starts at $50, an interior detail at $160, a complete in-and-out detail at $210, and showroom-level work with hot water extraction, steam, and clay bar from $400. Pet hair removal, ozone treatments for pet or smoke odour, and headlight restoration are honest add-ons priced by what your vehicle actually needs. The same packages are offered to a daily commuter from Whitby, a working truck from Hampton, a lakeshore vehicle from Pickering Bay, a family SUV from Brooklin, or a Wilmot Creek sedan that has been carefully maintained for ten years. Pricing scales with vehicle size, not with the city you drive in from.

Why a Bowmanville Shop Serves the Whole Region

Our central location off the Liberty St exit on the 401 puts us within 30 minutes of every major Durham Region community. The 401 corridor through Durham connects Bowmanville to Pickering in one straight highway run. Highway 2 is the parallel surface route. Regional Road 57 connects us north to Port Perry. Most Durham customers slot the drop-off into a normal weekday, dropping the vehicle on the way to work or pickup later the same day. Single-trip combinations (Rust Check plus full detail, or ceramic coating plus paint correction) make the drive worth one visit instead of three. We have been doing this in the same shop for over fifteen years, and the steady stream of repeat customers from across Durham is how we have stayed.

Pickup, Delivery, and Same-Day Options

Valet pickup and delivery is $30 across most of Durham Region. We pick up at your home or workplace and return the vehicle when the work is done. Range is most useful for Bowmanville, Courtice, Newcastle, central Oshawa, and Whitby. Pickering, west Ajax, and Port Perry are at the edge of the practical valet range, where most customers find it more efficient to drive in once and combine services. Same-day completion is the norm for wash and wax, exterior details, and standalone services if you call ahead. Larger detail packages and ceramic coatings are scheduled a few days out so we can give your vehicle the full time it needs.

How It Works

  1. Compressed air blowout: Every vent, seat track, crevice, and seam blown out before any vacuum runs. The compressed air step is what dislodges debris a vacuum alone cannot reach.
  2. Full multi-stage vacuum: Floors, seats, headliner, trunk, and hard-to-reach corners. Specialised attachments for seat tracks, between cushions, and under floor mats.
  3. Surface degrease and wipe: Every plastic, vinyl, and leather surface degreased and wiped with appropriate product. Dashboards, door cards, console, glove box, cup holders, and steering wheel all get hands-on attention.
  4. Carpet and floor mat work: Hot water extraction on heavily soiled carpets, or thorough wet-vacuum on lighter cleans. Floor mats come out and get individually shampooed when included in the package.
  5. Glass, mirrors, and final inspection: Inside and outside of every window streak-free, mirrors detailed, and a final walk-through to catch anything missed.
