SUV interiors are the hardest-working interiors on the road. Kids, pets, sports gear, wet winter boots, and years of family use create layers of soiling that require a professional approach. Ultimate Detail & Rust Check in Bowmanville specializes in SUV interior detailing and SUV interior cleaning with packages that account for the extra seats, carpet area, and surface complexity of 5-seat and 7-seat vehicles.
A family SUV interior in the Clarington area accumulates everything Ontario can throw at it: road salt tracked in on boots, pet hair ground into captain's chairs and bench seats, juice spills on second and third row carpets, and the general grime of a vehicle used hard every day. Our Interior Detail uses compressed air to blow out every vent, crevice, and seat track in all three rows before vacuuming begins. This is the step most shops skip. Our Interior Deep Clean adds hot water extraction of every fabric surface in the vehicle, leather conditioning, and steam cleaning for vehicles that need complete restoration. We price by vehicle size. 5-seat and 7-seat SUVs have different labor requirements and are priced accordingly.
Interior Detail from $170 (5-seat). 7-seat and 3-row from $200. Deep Clean from $270.
Adding a third row roughly doubles the seam-and-crevice count we have to detail compared to a 5-seat midsize SUV. Highlanders, Pilots, Suburbans, Pathfinders, and 3-row Atlases take longer because there is more cabin to work, more carpet area, more seat seams to clean, and a third-row stowage area that often hides debris under the folded seats. Add-ons like carpet shampoo cost slightly more (+$30 for 3-row) because the carpet area is larger. Interior Detail at $200 for a 7-seat and Interior Deep Clean at $350 reflect the actual time the work takes, not a flat 7-seat premium. We do not skip the third row to save time. Customers can tell when a detailer cut corners on the back of the vehicle.
Minivans and 7-seat SUVs with sliding doors (Sienna, Odyssey, Pacifica, Carnival) have a feature that no other vehicle category shares: sliding-door tracks. These tracks collect grit, road salt, crushed snack debris, and anything else that ends up on the running board area. Most quick-detail shops skip them entirely because they are awkward to access. We hit them on every minivan-class detail, and on Showroom Detail we also lubricate the rollers if they are dry. Sliding doors that close smoothly and do not grind are the customer-visible result. Customers who have had previous detail work on minivans elsewhere notice immediately when the tracks have been cleaned properly.
A 5-seat or 7-seat family SUV picks up the heaviest cabin soil of any vehicle category. Crumbs from snacks consumed in seat seams. Juice spills under car-seat bases. Sand from beach trips packed into the cargo well. Dog hair on every seat and headliner. Hockey-bag funk that permeates the cabin in summer. Coffee splashes in the cup holders that get refilled three times a day. Standard Interior Detail at $170 for a 5-seat or $200 for a 7-seat resets all of this. Interior Deep Clean at $270 to $350 adds hot water extraction across all carpet rows including the third-row cargo well, leather conditioning, and a full headliner pass that gets the dog hair off. Most family-SUV customers do Deep Clean once or twice a year and standard Interior Detail in between.
We work around installed car seats by default because removing and reinstalling them properly is the parent's call, not ours. If you remove the car seats before drop-off we can clean the seat area underneath thoroughly, which is one of the worst-soiled spots on any family SUV (juice, food crumbs, chip dust, the works). Cleaning the car seats themselves is something we do as an add-on with extra time, but we recommend removing the cover and machine-washing it per manufacturer instructions because car-seat cleaning has safety implications around the harness webbing we are not certified to work on. Mention car seats at booking so we can plan accordingly.
