Interior Detailing
Ultimate Detail & Rust Check provides professional interior car cleaning and interior detailing for all vehicle types in Bowmanville: cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, and everything in between. Our Interior Detail is a thorough cleaning using compressed air blowout, full vacuum, and degreasing of all surfaces with light chemicals only. Our Interior Deep Clean adds hot water extraction of seats and carpets plus leather conditioning for vehicles that need deeper attention.
Interior detailing is the most personal of all detailing services. It directly affects how you feel every time you get in your vehicle. Our Interior Detail uses compressed air to blow out every vent, crevice, and seat track before vacuuming. This removes debris that vacuuming alone misses. All surfaces are degreased and wiped clean with light chemicals only, no heavy scents or chemical residue. For vehicles needing deeper work, our Interior Deep Clean includes hot water extraction of fabric seats and carpets, leather deep cleaning and conditioning, and steam cleaning of hard-to-reach areas.

Interior Detail vs Interior Deep Clean
These are two different services with two different price points. Interior Detail is the standard cabin reset: compressed air blowout, full vacuum, surfaces degreased and wiped, glass cleaned. It runs $130 for a 2-seat vehicle and $200 for a three-row minivan. Interior Deep Clean adds hot water extraction on carpets and seats, leather conditioning, and a more thorough seam-by-seam pass on every soft surface. It runs $180 to $350 across the same tiers. Most daily drivers do well with the standard Interior Detail. Vehicles coming out of a hard winter, vehicles being prepped for sale, and vehicles with deep stains or odour are the ones where Deep Clean earns its price.
When Interior-Only Beats a Full Detail
A Full Detail at $210 covers both interior and exterior in one visit and is roughly $50 cheaper than booking the two services separately. So why ever book interior-only? Because the exterior is in fine shape and the interior is the only thing that needs work. Lease returns, vehicles where the previous owner washed but never deep-cleaned the cabin, and post-summer-road-trip resets are good interior-only candidates. If the exterior also needs a wash, Full Detail is almost always the better value.
What an Interior Detail Cannot Fix
Honest scope: stains that have set into fabric for years often lighten significantly but do not disappear entirely. Permanent ink, certain food dyes, and rust transfer from coins or tools can leave residual marks even after Deep Clean. Smoke-saturated cabins respond to ozone treatment ($40 add-on) but the smell may return faintly in summer when temperatures rise. Mold from a leaking sunroof or windshield seal is often a structural problem we recommend addressing before the detail. We give an honest assessment in the bay before charging for work that will not deliver the result you expect.
How It Works
- Compressed air blowout: Every vent vane, seat track, seat-belt slot, console seam, and floor-mat groove gets blown out before the vacuum. This is the difference between a real interior detail and a quick clean.
- Multi-stage vacuum: Heavy-debris pass first, fine-debris pass second. Specialised attachments for seat-track gaps, between cushions, under floor mats, and the trunk well.
- Surface degrease: Dashboard, console, door cards, cup holders, glove box, steering wheel, shifter, and all hard surfaces degreased and wiped by hand with appropriate product per material.
- Carpet and seat work: Standard package: wet-vacuum pass on heavily soiled areas. Deep Clean adds hot water extraction across carpets and cloth seats, plus leather conditioning where applicable.
- Glass and final: Inside of every window streak-free. Mirrors detailed. Final walk-through to catch anything missed before keys go back.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How much is an interior detail in Bowmanville?
- Interior Detail: $130 (2-seat / no rear), $160 (compact car or 2-door with rear seats), $170 (midsize SUV or crew-cab truck), $200 (3-row or minivan), $180 (oversized or dually). Interior Deep Clean: $180 to $350 across the same tiers. Pricing scales with the actual cabin volume to clean.
- How long does an interior detail take?
- Interior Detail runs 3 to 4 hours for a car, 4 to 5 hours for an SUV or truck, and 5 to 6 hours for a 3-row or minivan. Interior Deep Clean adds 1 to 2 hours per vehicle for the hot water extraction step. Same-day in most cases if booked in advance.
- Should I get Interior Detail or Interior Deep Clean?
- Interior Detail is the right call for most daily drivers, lease returns, and vehicles in normal condition. Interior Deep Clean is the right call for vehicles coming out of a long winter, vehicles being sold, vehicles with kids and pets that have built up cabin grime, or vehicles with deep stains or odour. We give an honest recommendation in the bay after seeing the vehicle.
- Do you remove odours from car interiors?
- Yes. Ozone treatment is a $40 add-on that runs the cabin through a 45-minute ozone cycle to break down odour-causing molecules. Best for smoke, pet, food spills, and gym-bag funk. Deep-set smoke saturation may need a second cycle. Mold and mildew respond partially to ozone but the underlying water source needs to be fixed first.
- Can you clean baby seats and child car seats?
- We work around installed car seats by default. If you remove them before drop-off we can clean the seat area underneath thoroughly. Cleaning the car seats themselves is something we do as an add-on with extra time, but we recommend removing the cover and machine-washing it per manufacturer instructions, since car-seat cleaning has safety implications around the harness webbing we are not certified to work on.
- Will my interior smell like cleaning chemicals after?
- No. We use products that wipe down to a neutral, slightly fresh scent. The cabin smells like a clean cabin, not like a chemical pine forest. If you have scent sensitivities or allergies, mention it at booking and we can adjust which products we use.
